Ford and Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are seeking two Goods -In Operatives to be based at our clients Freight Maintenance Depot.

The Opportunity

Shift patterns

4 on, 4 off (2 day shifts, 2 night shifts)- the depot must be covered 365 days

Role & responsibilities

• Stock control – ensuring systems are updated when materials are used or delivered to the depot
• Moving stock around the depot using FLT- you will be trained if you do not hold a valid license
• Ensuring materials are stored in a safe, efficient way

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have warehouse/depot experience and have a willingness to learn and develop within the stores department. You will have strong IT skills and have stock taking experience.

Essentials skills

• A willingness to learn with a positive attitude
• Physically fit and well (on your feet all day, physical lifting / movement of material on depot)
• Eye for detail (Identifying damaged items on delivery, material ordered and expected that is missing from the consignment)
• Must be able to pass a Safety Critical Medical and a Drugs & Alcohol screening
• Must have a clear DBS check
• You must hold a valid UK Driving License
• Warehouse/Depot experience
• Stock rotation/stock control experience in a fast paced environment
• Strong IT skills – ideally used a stock taking system to update/amend
• Previously worked in a safety critical environment, ideally within Engineering/Manufacturing
