Warehouse Materials Controller

Ford & Stanley Interim – The Rail Recruitment Experts are seeking a Depot based Materials Controller to join a leading global Rolling Stock Manufacturing company based in Manchester.

The Opportunity

Location

Longsight, Manchester.

Duration

6 months initially.

Role and Responsibilities

• Process all goods inwards and outwards- both electronically and physically
• Liaise with the clients customer and other departments with materials transactions, queries, stock inspections and audits
• Manage and process repairable materials and shipping documentation
• Expedite al open orders with suppliers
• Maintain material logs, system update and documentation
• Manage stocktaking
• Product KPI reports as and when required
• Monitor stock levels to ensure all system data is accurate
• Support the operations manager, local depot, procurement department and stores/logistics with materials planning, control and any other project activities
• Place orders on the system to pre-approved suppliers to complete the purchasing administrative process
• Carry out deliveries and collections to other locations

The Candidate

Essentials

• Excellent IT/Systems skills
• Proven relevant experience in a similar role such as warehousing operations, maintaining materials inventory etc.
• Experience using an ERP system
• Able to work independently
• Self motivated individual

Desirables

• FLT license – Counterbalance & Reach
• Valid UK Driving License
• Certificate/Qualification in IT/Logistics/Warehousing/Supply Chain
